The ISL95338 enables USB Type-C PD3.0 bidirectional voltage regulation for tablets, ultrabooks, power banks, and other mobile devices. This single-chip design replaces two voltage converters currently used for bidirectional buck and boost modes to reduce a customer's bill of materials (BOM) cost by 50%. It leverages Intersil's patented R3™ modulation technology to deliver acoustic noise-free operation, superior light-load efficiency and ultra-fast transient response.

Description
The ISL95338 is a bidirectional, buck-boost voltage regulator that provides buck-boost voltage regulation and protection features. Intersil’s advanced R3™ Technology is used to provide high light-load efficiency, fast transient response, and seamless DCM/CCM transitions.
The ISL95338 takes input power from a wide range of DC power sources (conventional AC/DC ADPs, USB PD ports, travel ADPs, etc.) and safely converts it to a regulated voltage up to 24V. The ISL95338 can also convert a wide range DC power source connected at its output (system side) to a regulated voltage to its input (ADP side). This bidirectional buck-boost regulation feature makes its application very flexible.
The ISL95338 includes various system operation functions such as Forward mode enable, Reverse mode enable, programmable soft-start time, and adjustable VOUT in both the forward direction and reverse direction. The protection functionalities include OCP, OVP, UVP, OTP, etc.
The ISL95338 has serial communication through SMBus/I2C that allows programming of many critical parameters to deliver a customized solution. These programming parameters include, but are not limited to: output current limit, input current limit, and output voltage setting.

The new MID-OLRM extended rail RM8 transformer series for offline applications from Wurth Electronics Midcom is now available.
“For the past 30 years, the RM packages have required flying leads to meet reinforced insulation and creepage and clearance distances. We decided to change this by adding an extended rail to the existing RM8 package; eliminating the need to have flying leads. This package also meets the stringent
IEC61558-2-16 standard with reinforced insulation,” explained Swaroop Vaidyanath, Product Marketing Engineer at Wurth Electronics Midcom.
Available with single or dual 5V or 12V outputs, these flyback transformers are built with grounded cores for improved EMI performance, small footprint, and reinforced insulation.
The 7508112110, 7508112349, 750811618, and 7508116316 transformers are best suited for white goods, industrial controls, metering, LED lighting, offline flyback power supplies, space-constrained power supplies, and smart adapter applications.

JT21P(V) and JT22P(V) are two series of temperature compensated high stability oscillators with a frequency stability as tight as ± 1.0 ppm, and are offered in a frequency range from 8.0 MHz to 52.0 MHz and are starting at 1.8V.
In addition to the TCXO JT21P/JT22P, the VCTCXO versions JT21PV/JT22PV can be tuned by ±8.0 ppm min. using an external voltage.
JT21P(V) and JT22P(V) fulfil high requirements for wireless applications
Due to the high frequency stability down to ± 1.0 ppm the JT21P(V) and JT22P(V) series fulfil very high requirements and are specially designed for ZigBee, Bluetooth and other wireless applications.

Würth Elektronik eiSos Expands its WE-HCF Product Family!
Würth Elektronik eiSos presents WE-HCF in a 2815 package, a flat wire power inductor with very high current loading capacity and efficiency. The latest member of the WE-HCF series is loadable up to 36 A and attains saturation currents up to 125 A. With its large wire cross-section, the inductor offers a 13 percent lower resistance than comparable products on the market and attains an up to 82 percent higher saturation current.
WE-HCF in the 2815 package fills the gap between the previously available 2013 and 2818 packages and represents a further improvement of the SMT-mountable inductors – with up to 50 percent higher nominal currents than the 2013 series. The flat wire coil has a resistance of just 1.31 mΩ and with its manganese-zinc-ferrite core, the magnetically shielded power choke shows very low core losses. The component specified up to 125°C is suitable as a highly efficient DC/DC converter for individual and multiphase converters or for filtering audio applications. WE-HCF is also especially suitable for high current step-up converters.

Würth Elektronik eiSos at PCIM Europe 2017.
The internationally leading trade show for power electronics, PCIM Europe, which was held in Nuremberg from 16–18 May 2017, Würth Elektronik eiSos exhibited intelligent drive technology, renewable energy and energy management. The manufacturer presented its broad-based portfolio of electronic and electromechanical components and unveiled a whole range of new products.
The WE-HCF, now available in 2815 package, is a flat wire power inductor with very high current loading capacity and efficiency. The inductor’s large wire cross-section makes its resistance 13 percent lower than comparable products on the market and it attains up to 82 percent higher saturation current. The component specified up to 125°C is suitable as a highly efficient DC/DC converter or for filtering audio applications.
WE-DPC HV (Double Power Choke High Voltage) are the smallest coupled power chokes yet in the Würth Elektronik eiSos portfolio. With these products the manufacturer has managed to raise efficiency beyond that of comparable chokes. The flexibly deployable SMD transformer WE-FLEX HV with an isolation voltage of 1.5 kVAC is completely unrivaled on the market. The newly developed MnZn core material reduces core losses by up to 30 percent as compared to classical products and makes the new SMD transformer an attractive solution for all types of isolated DC-DC converters in industrial and telecommunications applications.
High Current, High Frequency
With its WE-ACHC (Air Coil High Current), Würth Elektronik eiSos presents a new family of high current air coils for HF applications. The flat wire coils are available in 1010 and 1212 packages and in various inductance values. The coil label enables pick & place assembly. Application example: High frequency VRMs (Voltage Regulator Module) in MRIs and other devices in which no magnetic materials may be used.
Wireless Data Transmission
Würth Elektronik eiSos is very active on wireless power standards bodies and now offers one of the broadest ranges of coils for this growth field. Four other transmission coils celebrating their premiere at PCIM Europe belong to the WPCC series with NiZn ferrite shielding to protect sensitive electronics and concentrate the magnetic field. The outstanding features of these coils are the transmission power up to 200 W and their very low resistance. One of the new coils is especially designed for resonant inductive coupling and can be also used with several receivers at the same time.
LAN Transformer
The WE-LAN AQ shielded LAN transformer excels with its particularly flat 4 mm housing and improved soldering properties thanks to gold plated half-vias. Apart from that, the LAN transformer also displays outstanding return loss / crosstalk properties and is specified for the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
Electromechanical components
Development at Würth Elektronik eiSos does not stop at electromechanical components either. The new WR-BTB board-to-board connector series was developed for particularly fast and reliable data connection. WR-TBL are new SMT assembly terminal blocks and with WR-LECO WE eiSos present a family of LED plug-in connectors. Another focus area of the mechanical components is switches – here Würth Elektronik eiSos showcases a series of new, highly robust models.

New Production Lines for SMA, SMB, SMC
In response to increased demand, Taiwan Semiconductor has added new state-of-the-art back-end assembly and test production capacity for SMA and SMB packages. Similar capacity expansion for SMC packages will follow soon. These state of the art “Matrix lines” are highly automated and will have a positive impact on lead times and short-term availability of products in these popular packages. These “Matrix-lines” are available for the complete portfolio of SMA, SMB, and SMC based products.
ESD Capable Rectifier
Taiwan Semiconductor has added a new family of electro-static discharge (ESD) capable rectifiers. All TSDxx parts have a repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) of 400 V and forward current ratings (IF(AV)) of 1 A to 3 A in package types SOD-123W, SMA, SMB and SMC packages. These parts are glass passivated and offer low forward voltage drop (VF), high surge current capability (IFSM) and high ESD immunity rating to various standards. The TSDxx family of components are AEC-Q101 certified and can be applied to general purpose rectification, polarity protection, and rail-to-rail protection in both consumer and automotive applications.
1 W Zener in SOD-123W
Taiwan Semiconductor introduces a new 1W Power Zener product series in the flat/wide-lead SOD-123W package. The BZC27CxxPW series are designed for high frequency miniature switched-mode power supplies and on-board DC to DC converters. This product is AEC-Q101 certified for automotive applications.
PCIM 2017 in Nuremberg

HIGH FREQUENCY STABILITY FOR IOT APPLICATIONS:
Due to their high frequency stability as well as their very low ESR these JXS WA quartz crystals are especially suitable for IoT and industrial applications (IoT, IIoT). This JXS WA series is available at 14 special frequencies which are required to generate a pure and stable reference clock for many RF-transceivers and RF-ASICs. Typical frequencies are for example 24.0 / 26.0 / 32.0 / 37.40 / 38.40 or 40.0 MHz that are often used for RF-ASICs for wireless applications like Bluetooth low Energy (BLE), Bluetooth Smart, Zigbee, ISM, LoRa, LPWAN etc.
Furthermore, this series of quartz crystals may be designed into applications for telecommunication or in wearables, small portable computer systems, that are used nowadays for example in the health care sector or in all kinds of sport activities.
THREE STANDARD PACKAGES:
The quartz crystals are available in standard packages 2016, 2520 and 3225.
Besides, the JXS WA series shows an aging of +/- 1 ppm during the first year, and a very low long term aging.
